Schultz Mansion

ZANESVILLE, OH - June 23, 2015

This place... Very strange. After finding several websites suggesting the Schultz Mansion as an attraction to check out and finding their website when doing a search, my family and I decided to go check it out. Because their website said that they do tours, we were expecting a tour hopefully. We went up and rang the doorbell. This guy comes to the door and steps outside with no shoes on and shuts the door behind him. He just looks at us all confused and weird. It was as if he was just there hanging out like he lived there. We asked about the tours and he began to look at us even more weird, like he had no idea what we we're talking about. We just told him that I mainly wanted to take pictures. The guy said that he would go talk to his dad. When he came back he said that I would have to pay $50. But he was talking like I was wanting to take portraits, I tried to clarify that I just wanted to take photos around the place. He told me that I would still have to pay $50. The guy was very strange and very rude. I am very unsure what was going on there but it was very strange and I will never go back to that place.

It was as if they were trying to get rid of us and fast. But why? That is not how a business should be run. I really don't understand. If they were no longer giving tours or something was going on they could have just said so. But instead they were being very weird. It was as if the guy was his dad's messenger because the dad never came to the door.

Even though they were rude to me, I took pictures anyway. I wasn't going to take the time to go all the way there and leave with nothing.
