The Lowe Hotel

POINT PLEASANT, WV - March 19, 2015
After doing some research I found out that Point Pleasant has a historic hotel. It's not all about the Moth Man Legend. There is more to Point Pleasant, there is a history.
The Lowe Hotel was very old and vintage. I stayed in the lobby to look around and just from there, some interesting things were just sitting there in the lobby. The lady at the front desk was so nice and friendly and even talked about some of the history.

Back during the time this hotel was at its prime, It was a big deal to have air conditioning and color television. It was like making sure that the hotel you book had WiFi and a flat screen TV. It was a big deal.
Imagine this hotel being a very popular place to stay. It's not you average Holiday Inn.
It's so interesting to see old things during this time period. Like vintage treasures hidden away in a place that no one even pays much attention to. A place people drive right by and never give it a second thought.
Do they still have mail boxes in hotels anymore?
The lady at the front desk was talking about the rocking horse in the lobby. I believe she said it belonged to her children but I could be wrong. Either way it was very beautiful. It reminded me of a carousel horse.

Every detail of this hotel is very interesting. From amazing pillars, to stained glass windows, to balconies with the ballroom above the lobby, all of it makes me want to know more. Maybe I'll visit again?
