State Theater

POINT PLEASANT, WV - March 19, 2015

While in Point Pleasant, checking out the State Theater was a must. To be honest, there wasn't much there to see. I only saw the outside though. I bet the inside is very interesting. I would like to see the inside one day. I loved the outside of it even though it didn't seem very interesting. I always go back to thinking about it when it was a popular place to see movies. Imagine the lights on and the movie titles displayed waiting for people to come and watch them.

I wonder what movies were shown here. What movies premiered here that kept this tiny town eager to go to the movies. Imagine the old movie tickets sold at the entrance. What happened to this place? Why did people have to stop coming? I maybe I'll try to see if I can get access to the inside sometime and possibly have my questions answered.
