POINT PLEASANT, WV - March 19, 2015
The Home of the Moth Man? Hm. How about the place explosives were stored for the Battle of Point Pleasant. Moth Man is only a legend. The Battle of Point Pleasant is an actual real and historic event. The entire area is a Wildlife Management Area. The place is absolutely massive! You definitely need a map.
The igloo shaped bunkers hidden among the wilderness of Point Pleasant seemed much larger on the inside than they were on the outside. If there are any Doctor Who fans reading, I know exactly what you are thinking. They seemed smaller on the outside because of grasses and different things growing around them such as bushes and trees. The actually look like little hills with doors in them.
The surprising thing about these things are the massive domes as you go inside and look up. The cold air is kind of shocking, especially when it is already cold outside. The domes are pretty well preserved besides the ridiculous and annoying graffiti. But besides that it is a long walk to check out something so interesting and so historic, but it is worth it.
