Hocking Hills

LOGAN, OH - May 4, 2015
Hocking Hills is a very beautiful State Park with many waterfalls as well as amazing scenery and trails.
Cedar Falls is one of the waterfalls in this state park. The trail very mild compared to the Old Man's Cave trail. The waterfall was very beautiful and the rock formations were so interesting. The whole area was almost a cave.
Getting to Old Man's Cave involved walking down steps, slants, walking over bridges, and walking under rock formations. Just remember, you have to walk right back up the same way.
Finally getting to the waterfall and seeing it, it is easy to forget that you are in Ohio. I looked like a tropical oasis. The water was so clear and blue. The hike was worth it because you won't want to leave the gorgeous place.
Ash Cave trail was the easiest trail out of the three trails I took. It seemed pretty flat with no hills or stairs. Ash Cave was basically a cave in the shape of a horse shoe and had water running off the top of it down into the sandy area in the cave. The whole area was just beautiful. I didn't get to see everything so I guess that means I need to go back.
